Li V Mahob Dance Techniques invites youth (ages 7 to 14) to its high-energy Afro-Modern class.
Taught by guest artist Darian Moore, this 4-week class is steeped in the movements, traditions, and cultural context of African dance, while incorporating pure elements of Modern dance and techniques (contraction and release, fall and recovery, etc). Students will focus on movements and techniques that connect to the ground and learn how African rhythms are guideposts to storytelling and movement reflective of the Diasporic.

Li V Mahob Dance Techniques invites youth (ages 7 to 14) to immerse themselves in its Modern Contemporary Dance Class. Taught by guest artist Darian Moore, this fun and high-energy dance class explores a combination of foundational dance techniques (Horton, Dunham, Graham, and Cunningham) with a hint of contemporary ballet.
Through floor work and choreography students will be taught the fundamentals of each technique, and explore the different lines and dimensions of the human body while sculpting and shaping moments through space.
